The Covid-19 pandemic has had profound impacts on the tourism industry, giving businesses and destinations new challenges and priorities to sustain and promote tourism competitiveness. Tourist human capital plays a fundamental role in defining these challenges. By means of a logistic regression model, the paper explores the human capital demo-social determinants that impact on the definition of tourism challenge factors in the pre and post Covid-19. A number of social and demographic determinants of resilience for the tourism sector are also analysed through a Latent Class Analysis suggesting some policy implications directions for future research in the area.

Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has had profound impacts on the tourism industry, giving businesses and destinations new challenges and priorities to sustain and promote tourism competitiveness. Tourist human capital plays a fundamental role in defining these challenges. By means of a logistic regression model, the paper explores the human capital demo-social determinants that impact on the definition of tourism challenge factors in the pre and post Covid-19. A number of social and demographic determinants of resilience for the tourism sector are also analysed through a Latent Class Analysis suggesting some policy implications directions for future research in the area.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
