In line with inclusive and democratic cultural policies, as affirmed by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) definition of a museum, this article presents the design experience of the tactile sensory path Feel the Past, developed at the Historical-Archaeological Museum (MUSA) of the University of Salento. Through the development of this initial installation, an operational methodology for sensory accessibility, leveraging both digital surveys and representations of archaeological artifacts, is proposed. This approach suggests effective solutions to enhance accessibility and promote socio-cultural inclusion within the museum environment.

Abstract
In line with inclusive and democratic cultural policies, as affirmed by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) definition of a museum, this article presents the design experience of the tactile sensory path Feel the Past, developed at the Historical-Archaeological Museum (MUSA) of the University of Salento. Through the development of this initial installation, an operational methodology for sensory accessibility, leveraging both digital surveys and representations of archaeological artifacts, is proposed. This approach suggests effective solutions to enhance accessibility and promote socio-cultural inclusion within the museum environment.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
