This study explores the relevant theme of the factors sustaining Employees Motivation; in particular, it investigates the weight of interpersonal relationships with peers and supervisors in the ordinary company life and during moments of organizational crisis. In particular, this issue is discussed referring to both the Herzberg Motivation-Hygiene Theory (1968 and 1987), and the Kim and Rhee’s Megaphoning model, related to the employees “active alliance” (2011). Eventually, a contribution to the discussion is proposed through the presentation of two surveys’ results, involving the employees of the multinational company LFoundry, situated in Avezzano (AQ-Italy). The results suggest a possible new classification of hygiene and motivator factors compared to the Herzberg’s ones, with a specific focus on the role played by interpersonal relationships.
