The Centre and the Margins in Eighteenth-Century British and Italian Cultures collects essays by international scholars, most of whom took part in the Third Anglo-Italian Conference, bearing the same title, organized by Lia Guerra and Frank O’Gorman and held at the Centre for Eighteenth-Century Studies, University of York, in September 2011. The volume, edited by Guerra and O’Gorman, shows an interdisciplinary approach and is divided into two sections: the first one entirely devoted to literature, the second presenting contributions on philosophy, art and science.
