The paper discusses S.Hall's encoding decoding model in the context of actual television and web audience's practices. Examining a sample of sites regarding tv series, it is suggested that decoding regards appropriation practices of television discourses that lead to an involvment of audiences in the area of everyday life and a production of secondary textualities as well
