The editorial introduces the sixth issue of InterArtes, devoted to the imaginaries of technoscience. It argues that imaginaries are not passive reflections of technological progress but generative forces shaping scientific paradigms and cultural narratives. Adopting an inter- and transdisciplinary approach, the issue explores how symbolic, artistic, and narrative constructions influence the evolving relationship between humans and technology. The aim is to promote a critical and sustainable understanding of technoscientific development grounded in the ethical and cognitive role of the imaginary.

Abstract

The editorial introduces the sixth issue of InterArtes, devoted to the imaginaries of technoscience. It argues that imaginaries are not passive reflections of technological progress but generative forces shaping scientific paradigms and cultural narratives. Adopting an inter- and transdisciplinary approach, the issue explores how symbolic, artistic, and narrative constructions influence the evolving relationship between humans and technology. The aim is to promote a critical and sustainable understanding of technoscientific development grounded in the ethical and cognitive role of the imaginary.
