Premessa: sull'attualità del fenomeno urbano

Curation of the section “Knots: Perspectives on the city”, in the magazine “Iride” stems from the idea and organization of the conference “Architecture and Postmodernism” (Florence, 17 and 18 March 2001), and from the reports given by some invited speakers. Topics include new perspectives in architectural and urban field starting from the multiple transformations triggered "after modernity" in the various fields of knowledge and that saw the architecture among the main protagonists of experimentations and of new questions about the genesis of the projects, about the languages used, on the kind of spaces created.

La cura della sezione “Nodi: Prospettive sulla città”, all’interno della rivista “Iride” e la stesura della premessa "Sull'attualità del fenomeno urbano" scaturisce dall’ideazione e organizzazione del convegno Architettura e Postmodernità (Firenze, 17 e 18 marzo 2001), e dalle relazioni tenute da alcuni relatori invitati. I temi trattati riguardano le nuove prospettive delineatesi in campo architettonico e urbano a partire dalle molteplici trasformazioni innescate “dopo la modernità” nei vari campi del sapere e che hanno visto l’architettura tra i principali protagonisti di sperimentazioni e di nuove questioni sulla genesi dei progetti, sui linguaggi adoperati, sul genere di spazi realizzati.
