De la brutalité de la guerre à l'idée de paix positive dans la pensée de M.Yourcenar

In this article, I analyse the evolution of Marguerite Yourcenar's thought from the representation of war to the illustration of peace that emerges in some of her works, from Denier du rêve to L’Œuvre au noir, showing how the period in which she set these novels could have influenced her. I will then relate her idea of peace to “positive peace”, a concept developed by Johan Galtung at the end of the 1960s by showing how, especially in the Mémoires d’Hadrien, she was able to partially anticipate the ideas of the Norwegian scholar.
