This article takes into consideration one of the texts that can be in the posterity generated by the work of Marguerite Yourcenar: Le Mauvais Genre, by the Belgian author Laurent De Graeve. While being a rewrite of Liaisons dangereuses, it contains several intertextual references to Feux. We will then ask ourselves not only what drives an author to rewrite a great classic, but what is the meaning of certain intertexts. We will then discover how and why the theme of the mask, so dear to Yourcenar, was taken up by a contemporary author.

Abstract
This article takes into consideration one of the texts that can be in the posterity generated by the work of Marguerite Yourcenar: Le Mauvais Genre, by the Belgian author Laurent De Graeve. While being a rewrite of Liaisons dangereuses, it contains several intertextual references to Feux. We will then ask ourselves not only what drives an author to rewrite a great classic, but what is the meaning of certain intertexts. We will then discover how and why the theme of the mask, so dear to Yourcenar, was taken up by a contemporary author.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
