Present article identifies the main managerial drives able to influence hotel performance and proposes a set of indicators (dependent variables) able to depict the link between decisions and results. The paper is empirical and reports the findings based on a sample composed of 72 firms operating in Milan. The sample includes only individual firms. Regressive models based on economic variables are not significant. In contrast, the models built around operating measures present a significant value and highlight a series of antecedent variables. Among the latter, size, year of founding, ownership structure and location are the most relevant.

Abstract
Present article identifies the main managerial drives able to influence hotel performance and proposes a set of indicators (dependent variables) able to depict the link between decisions and results. The paper is empirical and reports the findings based on a sample composed of 72 firms operating in Milan. The sample includes only individual firms. Regressive models based on economic variables are not significant. In contrast, the models built around operating measures present a significant value and highlight a series of antecedent variables. Among the latter, size, year of founding, ownership structure and location are the most relevant.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
