This paper deals with a new etimology of the latin word olla and the umbrian vesklu. We started from the indoeuropean ideology regarding the semantic field of ‘growing up’ gods through the sacrifice (evident in sanskrit, residual in latin, e.g. magmentum = magis augmentum) and we connected both to the ie. Root *aug- which appears with –s formans in multiple ways : olla from *auk-s-la- and vesklu from *uek-s-klo-. Therefore these two instruments of sacrifice are not ones through which feeding off (ci si ciba) as we found in some papers but instruments through which we offer food to the goods
