La luna c(Ortese): lune e lumi in alcuni scritti di Anna Maria Ortese

In Anna Maria Ortese’s opinion, the moon is the star which transforms the trivial appearances of reality into magic and enchantment and frequently in her work she recurs to this presence. In her texts the moon takes on different faces: happy and accomplice, mysterious, fascinating and «brilliant of solid gold». It is often humanized and its anthropomorphic aspect is evidenced by its cry plenty of huge red drops of blood; the moon on the wall certifies the deep human suffering and the wall becomes the barrier beyond which we can probably find out the truth and clear up the mystery of life. Among Ortese’s writings also appears an apocalyptic moon which threats to fall on the earth causing cataclysms. In the end, many times the moon is accompanied by lights that light up the night or it is associated with headlights: this combination produces a kind of double vision, as if two moons shone in the sky. For Ortese the moon, embodiment of the mystery, stimulates dreams and alludes to the existence of a world over the real.

Per Anna Maria Ortese la luna è l’astro che trasfigura le apparenze banali della realtà in magia e incantamento e con frequenza nella sua produzione la scrittrice ricorre a questa presenza. Nei suoi testi la luna assume diversi volti: ora è felice e complice, ora è misteriosa, ora è affascinante e «brillante di massiccio oro». Con frequenza è resa umana e il suo antropomorfizzarsi è testimoniato dal lacrimare «a rosse ed enormi gocce di sangue»; la luna sul muro attesta il profondo dolore umano e il muro diventa la barriera oltre la quale si può forse scoprire la verità e chiarire l’arcano e il mistero della vita. Tra gli scritti ortesiani compare anche una luna apocalittica che minaccia di precipitare sulla terra, causando cataclismi. Infine, più volte la luna si accompagna a lumi che illuminano la notte o viene associata a fari: tale accostamento produce una sorta di diplopia, come se nel cielo splendessero due lune. Per Ortese la luna, incarnazione del mistero, stimola i sogni e allude all’esistenza di un mondo sovrareale.
