Dall’imagologia alla traduzione: percorsi di costruzione dell’identità

Abstract: The paper, after a preliminary, brief, theoretical and methodolo- gical premise, aims at analysing the relations stemming from the influence played by images of the ‘other’ in text-drafting processes: from the choice of the text to be translated to the reading of the translation by the final re- aders’, encompassing all the strategies of image reproduction and stereot- ypes. This way of reflecting on translation makes translation-reading itself a cultural practice, as well as a linguistic one.
