The work analyses examples of italian factual television dealing with style. Content, linguistic and pragmatic issues are considered, as well as the more general role of current television in offering lifestyle solutions to the audience. Television in this way appears as a "neo-paedagogic" apparatus that presents itself as a lifestyle companion.
