AIneid, Narrating Mythology in the Age of AI: Exploring Human-Machine Collaboration from a Linguistic Perspective

In the digital age that characterises the contemporary world, we are in daily contact with visual elements such as images or videos, and artificial intelligence (AI) is taking an increasingly crucial role in generating this type of content, showing the possibilities and limits of this process. In this article, analysing the AIneid, Narrating mythology in the Age of AI project, we investigate the world of generative AI in relation to the myth of the Virgilian Aeneid with the aim of studying the process of text-to-image conversion (intersemiotic translation), through a collaboration between researchers and the medium of artificial intelligence, to carry out a double investigation: on both visual and linguistic point of view.
