Individual right to information widens out in International and European Law since the Nineties of the XX century as a principle of democracy in the Global Information Society. Individual right to privacy must be effectively protected at international, European and domestic level by assuring a jurisdictional control which is often inadequate. The European Union juridical system offers an example of guarantee still in progress which is able to assure both information and privacy rights.
