TRASFORMAZIONI URBANE E CONTRASTI A MILANO: IL CASO DI MOSSO

This study examines the relationship between the Right to the City, gentrification, and urban transformations in the historically working-class neighbourhood of NIL 20 Loreto-Casoretto-Nolo in Milan, which has undergone profound demographic and social transitions. T hrough a methodology combining participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and analysis of demographic and statistical data, the research highlights the social and urban changes linked to the Progetto “mosso”, a social initiative launched in 2022. The project reflects the tensions between social inclusion and exclusionary dynamics, raising critical questions about gentrification and socioeconomic sustainability.

Questo studio analizza il rapporto tra il Diritto alla Città, la gentrification e le trasformazioni urbane nel quartiere milanese storicamente operaio del NIL 20 Loreto-Casoretto-Nolo, che ha vissuto profonde transizioni demografiche e sociali. Attraverso una metodologia che combina osservazione partecipante, interviste semi-strutturate e analisi di dati demografici e statistici, si evidenziano i mutamenti sociali e urbani legati al progetto “mosso”, iniziativa sociale nata nel 2022. Il progetto riflette le tensioni tra inclusione sociale e dinamiche escludenti e sollevando interroga tivi critici su gentrification e sostenibilità socioeconomica.
