DIGITAL DOCUMENTATION WORKFLOWS FOR CULTURAL HERITAGE KNOWLEDGE. INTEGRATED SURVEY STRATEGIES FOR THE UNESCO SITE OF BAGAN

The volume illustrates the role of integrated survey strategies and digital representation in fostering creative approaches to implement the understanding and interpretation of Cultural Heritage. The book proposes and tests an operative methodology to record and represent the tangible and intangible aspects embedded in built heritage sites. A key organizing principle of the proposed approach consists in the establishment of information–enriched environments developed by digital means aimed at developing a comprehensive knowledge of historical structures. Through the case of the UNESCO site of Bagan workflows, techniques and tools to document and visualize quantitative and qualitative information are presented and discussed.
