Online dictionary of the Cimbrian language spoken in the Asiago Plateau, north of Vicenza. Morphophonologically Cimbrian is one of the most conservative German dialects still existent. The dictionary contains over 3000 words, with standardized orthography, provided with their etymology, phraseology and idioms. Since Cimbrian is an endangered language this free online dictionary aims to be a a fundamental tool for supporting and preserving it. Moreover, the dictionary is of great interest to scholars devoted to the history of the Germanic languages.
