Abstract

Bleeding Through is a detective story narrated both verbally in a book and visually in a DVD organized as a digital database of images, panorama pictures, video clips, interactive maps, scanned newspaper clippings. Although Klein considers all the cognitive tools used for traditional investigation, he suggests conceiving a crime as multiple overlapping layers of information and data. As it happens with augmented reality, layers represent different degrees of relationships (narrations) established between subjects and objects, body and individual responsibility, citizens and environment, storytelling and mental images, descriptive and pictorial, media and states of mind.
