L' esperienza del sacro nei pellegrinaggi dei bambini e degli adolescenti

Religious socialisation has interested scholars from various fields for some time, but few sociologists have dealt with the relationship between children and religion, although children also experience the sacred even if it is mediated through the presence of an adult staying close to them. This paper presents the experience of a pilgrimage that children and adolescents undertake together with another family member. An experience that leaves a lasting mark on the adults. In fact, in the second part of this paper we present an explorative study on adults of various ages, from which it emerges quite clearly how deep the mark left on them is as they still reveal strong emotions when remembering the experience.

La socializzazione religiosa interessa da tempo studiosi di ambiti diversi ma pochi sociologi si sono occupati del rapporto fra bambino e religione sebbene anche i bambini facciano esperienza di sacro seppure mediata da qualche adulto che sta loro vicino. In questo saggio viene presentata l’esperienza di un pellegrinaggio che bambini e adolescenti vivono insieme a qualche famigliare. Una esperienza che lascia tracce durature negli adulti che l’hanno vissuta. Infatti, nella seconda parte del saggio viene presentata una indagine esplorativa su adulti di varie età dalla quale emerge chiaramente quanto sia profondo il segno lasciato da questa esperienza ricordata ancora con grande partecipazione emotiva.
