Paolo Veronese's painting is analysed from the beginning of his career in Verona and Venice, with particular attention to the decorations he took part during the fifties of XVI Century. His original way of conceiving painting as part of a general antique scenography took him to use colour and classic architecture to recreate the idea of an ancient world as a model for a fascinating capital as Venise in the second half of the Century
