L'immagine delle lingue e delle identità minoritarie: fra traduzione e imagologia

The image of minority languages and identities: between translation and imagology. Language and image are two concepts strictly interrelated. Either the language and the related translation activity, or the image of the Other, are channels converging on the concept of identity. It is through them that representation strategies and conditionings of multiple identities are expressed. In the contemporary global social and cultural context, what is the image of those groups and/or social communities speaking the so-called minority languages?

Lingua e immagine sono concetti strettamente correlati. Tanto la lingua e l’attività traduttiva ad essa collegata, quanto l’immagine dell’altro, sono canali convergenti sul concetto di identità. Attraverso di essi si manifestano strategie e condizionamenti che esprimono in modalità di volta in volta diverse l’identità di gruppi e/o di comunità sociali. Nel contesto sociale e culturale globale della nostra contemporaneità qual è l’immagine di quei gruppi e/o comunità sociali parlanti le lingue considerate minoritarie?
