The paper report the result of a research conducted on the use of social media and, in particular, of twitter by italian Politicinas during the electoral campaign of 2013. The proposed discussion considers the evolutions to which has undergone the political communications for the diffusion of social web and of user generated content and offer a deep analysis of how italian Politicians has used new media in a traditional way reproducing the classical communication models tipical of old media.
